a shot in the dark

I have now accomplished one of my unwritten goals for the year. Shoot an entire video in black and white. Jimmy at gideonphoto.com and I had the idea, while working down in San Diego this week, of shooting at night using only natural light - Joy and Jeff are a great couple and she is due in May. This is just a taste of the many shoots we've done together this week as we prepare for the wedding on Saturday of another couple, Roselyn and Ben. Until then - enjoy!

Really beautiful video!
I have to tell you - I have a 15 year old daughter and she has visions of her future, just like all girls her age...a wonderful, worthy companion, a simple, beautiful temple wedding - and NO STUPID RECEPTION! She would rather spend all of her money on two things - stunning photographs of her wedding day by Robert Boyd, and an amazing engagement/wedding video by NP films!!
Give my Maggie a few years and I'm sure you'll be hearing from her!

I am so in love with this video. The styling and artistic effect gives it such a parisian feel even though its shot it San Diego. The couple is just too cute for words.

So glad everyone loves the video so much. Nate and I had a blast making it. For all those interested in the song. It is Taxi Cab, by Vampire Weekend. Maybe the coolest band ever!

This video is adorable. Since I first saw it on Friday, I've probably watched it 10 times. Joy and Jeff are so natural and lovely, and I'm dying to know where her coat is from!

I stopped videography, right at the HD switch and now I'm way behind...how do you get such crisp video to load on your site? send me a link anything...is it all in the initial export settings, the compression settings, what please share...I promise I won't compete, I just want to post clean video on my blog :)

by the way, this video ALMOST made me wish I was still shooting and editing...almost. :) It was very well done.
